Full glass balustrade

Main keywords in today’s architecture are modernity and airiness. Based on that, often desired appearance of the building is with a lot of glass and rest of the construction very minimalist. Full glass balustrade is ideal solution to fulfill this purpose, because tempered and laminated glass is so strong that it can be bearing element by itself. There are two types of postless railings – with a bottom profile and with point-fixings.

Novel solution is full glass balustrade without posts which can be mounted only with an aluminium bottom profile. That kind of fixing method gives architects a chance to implement their concepts more effectively. This way only glass surface will remain visible for the
facade.

It is possible to mount that kind of solution on top of the parapet of the balcony (with steel brackets) as well as in front of it (with aluminium brackets). Usually height of the glasses from the floor is 1000-1100 mm. Postless glass railing has also a possibility to add minimalist handrail that connects edges of the glasses to unified whole. Glass has to be laminated and tempered. Next to clear glass there is also mat, colored, toned, laminated (different colors) and silk-printed glasses, moreover glasses with patterns. Standard glass thicknesses are 8+8 mm and 10+10 mm (possible choices 10, 12, 13.5, 17.5, 19.5, 21.5 mm).

Point-fixings are minimalist and elegant way to fix glasses on the balcony railings, stair railings, walls and different constructions. Point-fixings of quality material and professional finish ensure safety and durability when mounting the glass elements. That kind of fixing is suitable for inside and outside solutions.

Glasses are fastened through the holes of the glasses with stainless steel fixing elements. That kind of fixing requires laminated and tempered glass. Standard glass thicknesses are: 88.4 (17.5mm), 1010.4 (21,5mm), 1212.4 (24.5mm). It is important to take into account measures of the glasses and possible distances between fixing holes when choosing the glass thickness. Usually height of the glasses from the floor is 1000-1100 mm. In order to illustrate the facade with something else than just a clear glass, it is possible to use different tinted glasses or colored film when laminating the glasses.
