Glass canopy
Glass canopies are most popular solutions above entrances, these are used mainly for apartment buildings, shopping centers, hotels and office buildings. The most important factor, when choosing the glass roof, is safety which is ensured by proper glass fixings and correct thickness of tempered and laminated glass. That kind of glass canopy is airy, light and easy to maintain. In addition to its primary function – protection from rain and wind, it helps also to highlight spacious and transparent design of the building.
Material and technical data
Maximum depth of the glass canopy with point-fixings can be 2 meters. The glass is kept in place with the stainless steel tensions rods. Based on the roofs size is used either 8+8 or 10+10 mm tempered and laminated glass. Mostly that type of roof solution is made with a clear glass, but it is possible to use also opaque or toned glass (green, bronze, grey). It is very important that holes in the glass would be in correct size and at right distance from the edges of the glass. Glass canopy is fixed by single fixing. Thanks to the adjustable connection rods and routels, this system is not rigid. Full glass canopy is resistant to pressure and wind suction.
